It's been a little bit of time since I've updated my blog. Life sure does get crazy sometimes. I spent last weekend in Detroit with my sister so I was away from my computer for a while, but I'm here to catch ya up now.
While in Detroit I had the opportunity to attend the Taste of the D at the Detroit Historical Museum. That was so much fun. There were lots of people there. My sister runs a bar (shout out to Foran's Irish Pub on Woodward) in Detroit so she knew lots of the people at the event (wink, wink...extra goodies for us :D ) On Saturday we had a wonderful breakfast at the Detroit Breakfast House & Grill (www.detroitbreakfasthouse.com), if you want to spoil yourself a little head over there for some wonderful food (I'd highly recommend the stuffed french toast). [Ok, could someone please tell me how to make a phrase a hotlink so I can skip putting in the website. I seriously can not figure it out.] Also visited the Guardian Building and Belle Isle while in Detroit. WOW!! Those places are great. It's really too bad that the city of Detroit closed down the aquarium on Belle Isle..the building is very cool. (EDIT: As promised, pictures of my Detroit visit)
During my visit I had the opportunity to photograph the beautiful Helena. As promised, here are a few pictures:
I came across a quote the other day that I really liked:
"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication"--Leonardo daVinci
Couldn't have said it better myself....
Well, its very very late and I have got to be up early. Thanks for stopping by.

Fall Family Pics
We've been having wonderful weather in our area. When I scheduled the date for this family session I thought it might be cool. It ended up being in the mid-80's when I done these pics. Practically unheard of for this time of year. It was definately tshirt weather, but they followed through with the original plan. The family, especially the guys, were such good sports about it. We had a lot of fun during this session. Here's some of my favorites:

Horses and Nature
Some friends of our recently aquired a couple horses and invited our daughter (who LOVES horses) to come over riding anytime. They live on some beautiful property and the weather has been in the 80's so I decided to get some nature shots in while Emma was on her trail ride.
